Overview
Every interview follows the same lifecycle, moving back and forth between what you do as a recruiter and what your candidate experiences on the other end. Here’s the full timeline, from creating a job to making a decision.1
Recruiter: Create a job position
You add a job position for the role you’re hiring, then build the video interview — questions, an optional intro/outro, and tailoring like thinking time, answer limits, and branding.
2
Recruiter: Invite the candidate
You invite the candidate, one by one or in bulk. Hireflix automatically sends the invite email or SMS with their unique interview link. The interview is now in the Pending stage.
3
Candidate: Opens the interview
The candidate opens their link — no account or app download required. Depending on your setup, they may see your company branding and an intro video before they start.
4
Candidate: Records their answers
The candidate records a video answer to each question, respecting any thinking time or answer time limit you’ve set, then submits when they’re done.
5
System: Interview marked as completed
The interview status changes to Completed, and you (or your team) receive an email or Slack notification letting you know it’s ready to review. If Hireflix couldn’t tell who invited the candidate — for example, invites sent via an ATS integration or a public link — the notification goes to the account admin instead.
6
Recruiter: Reviews and scores
You review the interview: watch or read the transcribed answers, rate from 0.5 to 5, and leave notes for your team.
7
Recruiter: Decides
You shortlist or discard the candidate — or share the interview with someone outside your workspace for a second opinion. If you use an ATS integration, the result can sync back automatically.
